Can-Tech Services has been in business for over 40 years, and boasts a diverse and experienced team of recruiters. Our client in the steel fabrication industry, is seeking aMaterial Handlerfor permanent employment in Concord.

Duties:

Move materials and components to various work centers as per the production schedule.

Read shop drawings to determine where a part, material or component should be moved for further processing.

Use a forklift to move heavy loads of sheet metal to and from work centers.

Ship, pick, receive, and count inventory as required.

Maintain safe work practices.

Assist in all logistics departments as required.

Qualifications:

Experience working in a sheet metal manufacturing environment is required.

Understand the processes involved in metal fabricating.

Knowledge of sheet metal (i.e. Gage, CRS, HRS, satin coat, etc.) is expected.

5 years’ experience driving a forklift with a valid license.

Knowledge of standard safety practices.
