Can-Tech Services is currently looking for Candidates for a Permanent position located in the North York Area (Dufferin and Steeles) to work as a Lead Hand on Afternoon shift.
 
Shift Time: Monday to Thursday 4:15 pm to 1:15 am, Friday 3:00 pm to 12:00 am  
 Pay Rate: $21.75 (Plus $ 0.75 shift premium for Afternoons)
 
JOB DUTIES:

• Responsible for daily production schedules.
• Responsible for on-time production, delivery, assembly, inspection and packaging of products.
• Using available resources, achieve performance targets as established by Quality, Health and Safety and Production Departments.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure steady flow of product and minimize downtime and delays.
• Other duties as assigned by lead hand, supervisor and/or manager.
• Consistently follows EHS general rules and procedures and is aware of the EHS policy.
• Demonstrates good initiative for working safely, reporting, and participating in EHS.

 
SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Knowledge of Quality standards and products.
• Must be able to read and interpret production reports, schedules, product labels, etc.
• 3-5 years’ manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of such activities as welding, buffing, sanding, powder painting, assembly techniques, packaging, etc.
• Ability to instruct, guide and lead other employees.
• Decision making abilities and appreciation of cost, waste, etc.
• Flexible to be available to work overtime.
