Can-Tech Services is currently looking for candidates for a Full-Time position located in the North York Area (Keele & Steels) to work as a Sr. Plant Administrator –Quality Inspector (Textiles) on Days.

Shift Time:

Days – Monday to Friday – 7:30 am to 4:30 pm 

Pay Rate: $20/hr.

JOB DUTIES:
•    Examine all the received fabric rolls for conformity to quality standards.
•    Carry out quality checks on fabric samples.
•    Records number and type of defects.
•    Marks defects with label.
•    Cut a small swatch of each lot and verify the shade by comparing to the master sample.
•    Advise textiles manager and other team members on quality issues.
•    Maintain accurate records of inspections
•    Record information on fabrics inspected.
•    Ensuring only quality fabrics are accepted.
•    Consistently follows EHS general rules and procedures and is aware of the EHS and Quality policy
•    Demonstrates good initiative for working safely, reporting, and participating in EHS

SKILLS REQUIRED:
•    College diploma or university degree in a technical, engineering, or quality-related field
•    2 to 3 years experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment
•    Computer literacy
•    Have good communication, literacy, and numeracy skills
•    Have good concentration skills
•    Attention to detail
•    Must be able to work independently
•    Self-motivated, organized and ability to handle multiple jobs
