Description:Talent Acquisition Specialist

Location: Lancaster, NY   
Term: Contract position – 6 months  (extendable)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4 pm
Pay Rate: $75 – $85 K per year (based on experience)  

Job Summary: 
Manages full-cycle recruitment processes and partners with hiring managers to deliver effective hiring outcomes.

Responsibilities: 

Key Responsibilities:

1.   Talent Acquisition Support:
a.    Support end-to-end recruitment activities for high-volume hiring (sourcing, screening, scheduling, and coordination
b.    Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to ensure efficient and timely hiring processes
c.    Screen resumes and conduct candidate outreach and pre-qualification calls
d.    Coordinate interviews and manage candidate communications to ensure a positive experience
e.    Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment reports
f.    Maintain job postings and job description updates across multiple platforms
g.    Assist in recruitment campaigns, job fairs, and pipeline-building initiatives
h.    Maintain hiring metrics tracking such as time-to-fill, candidate pipeline status, interview turnaround times, and onboarding completion
i.    Maintain proactive communication with candidates and hiring managers to ensure recruiting process visibility and follow-up
j.    Partner with HR and operations teams to support workforce ramp-up initiatives and urgent staffing needs
k.    Support sourcing and employer branding initiatives

2.   Onboarding & HR Administration:
a.    Support onboarding logistics (offer letters, documentation, scheduling onboarding sessions)
b.    Ensure completion and compliance of new hire documentation
c.    Maintain employee records and HR systems with accuracy and confidentiality
d.    Assist with background checks and pre-employment processes
e.    Provide administrative HR support as needed

3.   Operational & Ad Hoc HR Support:
a.    Assist with HR projects related to workforce planning and process improvement
b.    Support employee lifecycle activities as needed (offboarding, internal mobility, etc.)
c.    Contribute to continuous improvement of recruitment and onboarding processes
d.    Provide support to the HR team during peak workload periods

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
•    Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university applicable to position
•    3+  years in HR or recruiting experience 

Knowledge/Skills:
•    PC and Microsoft Office – advanced 
•    Organizational and follow-up skills, ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines – Expert
•    Ability to work in a cross-functional/international team environment – advanced 
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail – advanced
•    Ability to take initiative and lead projects from planning to execution – Advanced 
•    Strong interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills – Expert
•    Ability to build collaborative relationships – advanced
•    Knowledge of an ATS systems – Advanced
•    Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment – Advanced

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
•    SHRM – preferred 

Supervisory Responsibilities:
•    Be able to mentor Junior staff

•    Advanced: Incumbent is able to independently use their knowledge/skill
•    Expert: Incumbent is able to train others on their knowledge/skill
