We are currently hiring Hoist Operator – Plating

Company Location: Keele and Steeles

Shift Time: Day Shift

Rate” $25/hr

Overall Function: The role of the Hoist Operator involves operating overhead hoist systems used in metal finishing processes to transfer product through various stages of plating.

The position ensures proper sequencing, timing, and handling of parts to meet quality and production requirements.

Understanding of metal finishing processes such as chromium and nickel plating is considered an asset Job Responsibilities: •

Operates overhead hoist systems to transport racks of parts through plating tanks.

• Follows defined process sequences, immersion times, and work instructions.

• Loads and unloads parts onto racks or fixtures to ensure proper positioning and quality.

• Monitors plating line operations and adjusts movement timing as required.

• Ensures parts are processed in accordance with quality standards and specifications.

• Identifies and reports defects or irregularities in processing.

• Maintains accurate production tracking and documentation.

• Performs routine equipment checks and reports maintenance requirements. • Works closely with plating technicians and supervisors to maintain workflow. • Maintains a safe, clean, and organized workstation. Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma required; manufacturing or plating experience preferred.

• Experience operating overhead hoists or cranes is an asset.

• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures.

• Basic understanding of metal finishing processes considered an asset

• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

• Basic computer skills.
