Description:CNC Programmer 

Location: Concord, ON
Term: Full time Permanent
Shift: Afternoon shift – 3 pm to 11:10 pm (Afternoon shift premium is $0.45 per hour)
Pay Rate: $28 – $34 per hour 

Responsibilities:
•    Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining requirements
•    Program CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc) using CAM software and machine control interfaces
•    Set up machines by installing and aligning tooling, fixtures, and workpieces accurately
•    Operate CNC machines to manufacture components to precise dimensions and tolerances
•    Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
•    Verify conformance of parts to specifications and make adjustments as necessary
•    Perform routine maintenance and ensure equipment is kept in safe working condition
•    Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve technical or process issues
•    Optimize machining programs to improve efficiency, quality, and tool life
•    Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company standards
•    Support and practice KAIZEN principles and participate in related activities (GEAR)

Requirements:
•    3 axis (minimum)
•    Mastercam (program)
•    Tool & Die experience
•    Key Creator Software experience
•    Willing to work overtime
•    One year of equivalent experience and related education or an appropriate blend
•    Mechanically inclined and knowledgeable with technical terms, machine components and definitions
•    Previous experience working with maintenance and tool room departments
•    Knowledgeable in PowerBI, MVP or other CMMS Software
•    Good knowledge of production reporting systems
•    Good technical report writing abilities and communication skills
•    Excellent problem-solving techniques and methods
•    Computer literacy and a sound knowledge in MS-Office applications and Outlook would be an asset, most critically Excel and PowerPoint for data manipulation
•    Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural environment
