Description:Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Toronto, ON
Term: Full time, Permanent
Pay Rate: $87 – $108 K range
Scope of Position:
• The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing technical solutions to maintain and improve existing manufacturing process including equipment, tools, and facilities
• The Maintenance Supervisor is also responsible for the implementation of continuous improvement in manufacturing process, with the focus on energy and natural resources management
• He/she is responsible for providing technical solutions to improve existing manufacturing process by reducing energy consumption
• This position is also accountable for working with management, suppliers, and outside contractors for services that are cost-effective, support company objectives, and in line with pertinent government regulations
• The position is also responsible for the coordination and supervision of all maintenance technicians/skill trades in the maintenance department, ensuring facility equipment is properly installed and maintained in line with pertinent government regulations, in the support of company objectives
JOB DUTIES:
• The incumbent is responsible for researching and providing engineering solutions to maintain and improve efficiency for current manufacturing equipment, tools, and facilities
• The incumbent is accountable for performing technical analysis and providing advice and suggestions to possible technological development that can improve manufacturing efficiency
• The incumbent is responsible for identifying energy savings and cost reduction opportunities in the plant. He/she also makes recommendations for the process improvement of plant, products, and processes
• The incumbent is responsible for preserving and improving the value of assets in including but not limited to buildings and grounds, manufacturing equipment, tools, and process
• The incumbent is responsible to evaluate and review buildings and grounds issues, machinery and equipment problems as conducting root cause analysis on related failures
• The incumbent is responsible for working with contractors and suppliers for cost effective services and supplies as per project requirements
• The incumbent is responsible for following and implementing health & safety, and environmental and all other policies and procedures
• The incumbent is responsible for developing specifications to which the facilities will be designed and maintained by complying with ISO procedures, CSA & ESA standards
• The incumbent is responsible for performing other duties as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor and/or Senior Management
• The incumbent is responsible for the coordination and supervision of all maintenance technicians/skill trades in the maintenance department, ensuring facility equipment is properly installed and maintained
QUALIFICATIONS:
• College Diploma or Certificate in Facilities Management or Industrial preferred
• Working knowledge CNC Laser, Roll form, Punch Press, Welding (MIG/Spot)
• Experienced with facilities/energy management
• Strong analytical skills
• Working understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001
• Basic computer knowledge and skills (Word, Excel)
• High degree of interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Flexibility to deal with employees at all levels
