Can-Tech Services is looking for Licensed Millwrights for our reputable  Manufacturing clients in the GTA.

Type of Employment:

Full time/Permanent directly on the client’s payroll.

Shifts available: Days/ Afternoons/ Nights

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

  • Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment

  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during installation and repair.

  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.

  • Diagnose malfunctions using diagnostic tools and testing instruments

  • Troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic, and programmable logic control systems.

  • Respond to emergency breakdown calls and perform repairs to minimize downtime

  • Adjust machinery and replace defective parts as needed.

  • Perform routine maintenance, including lubrication and cleaning of machinery.

  • Document maintenance and repair activities, parts usage, and equipment history

  • Collaborate with production teams to coordinate planned maintenance schedules

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company procedures

  • Train and mentor junior technicians as required

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

 

  • Valid 433A Industrial Millwright
  • Experience in industrial maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an industrial setting
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
  • Experience with welding and fabrication an asset
  • Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and procedures
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions
  • Knowledge of diagnostic tools and repair techniques.

Work Environment

 

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday 
  • May require occasional weekend work for major repairs or installations
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at all times on the production floor
  • Some tasks may require working at heights or in confined spaces
