Description:Mechanical Assembler I – Production Team

Location: London, ON   
Term: Contract position – 3 months (extendable)
Shift: Monday to Thursday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, Friday – 8 am to 2 pm   
Pay Rate: $19 per hour (based on experience)  

Job Summary: 
Looking for service-oriented team players with strong interpersonal skills, the right attitude and adaptability to an innovative and evolving environment
As a vital member of the Production team, this position will involve cross-training across all positions within manufacturing and assembly

Responsibilities: 
•    Operate production machinery
•    Pick product from inventory for production line
•    Ability to operate pressure test equipment with strong attention to detail
•    Make adjustments to the product as necessary to ensure product is within
•    specifications and good workmanship
•    Proper housekeeping using 5S initiatives
•    Follow both Safran Production guidelines and Safran Policies & Procedures as per AS9100 QMS

Qualifications:
•    1-2 years assembly experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
•    Working knowledge of basic hand tools
•    Blueprint reading with very good attention to detail
•    Good oral, written and English reading comprehension
•    Strong measuring skills and basic Math
•    Ability to work accurately with strong attention to detail
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within tight deadlines
•    Be safety conscious and be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
•    Positive attitude, adaptable and a team player
•    Availability for overtime when required
•    Minimum Grade 12 or Equivalent
•    Canadian citizen or valid permanent resident card
•    Clear criminal record

NOTE – 
•    This position involves working with controlled goods and is subject to Canada’s Controlled Goods Program (CGP) regulations
•    A condition of employment will be completing a security assessment to ensure eligibility under this program
•    As a result, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents who meet the necessary security clearance requirements.
