Can-Tech Services is looking for a Licensed Millwright for one of our reputable Manufacturing clients in East Gwillimbury.
Our client delivers manufacturing, engineering and motorsports solutions to OEM customers worldwide. Headquartered near Toronto, Canada, their manufacturing, support and engineering facilities span North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. They are organized into five operating groups: Niche Vehicles, Structures & Suspensions, Mechanisms, Special Vehicle Operations, Engineering.
The division that is looking for a Licensed Millwright at the moment is located in East Gwillimbury. This particular division is a premier supplier of advanced suspension products and welded assemblies to the global automotive industry. Equipped with the latest technology in metal stamping (up to 2500 tonne), state-of-the-art robotic welding cells, and automated assembly lines, the 240,000 square foot facility is staffed by expert personnel to manufacture front and rear suspension control arms, links, stabilizer bars and various high value-add assemblies.
Position: Licensed Millwright.
Position Type: Permanent/Full-Time.
Pay: Up to $39 per hour. Shift premium of 45 cents will be added. There is overtime available as well.
Shift: Afternoons (2pm – 10.10pm).

Responsibilities:

Solve maintenance related problems with minimum interruption to production.

Perform all maintenance and repair work in either plant or grounds.

Perform repairs and maintenance of production and other equipment.

Troubleshooting in the plant, offices, all systems, and grounds as required.

Maintain up to date documentation of all equipment. This includes documenting changes to all equipment in MVP.

Actively participate in the Preventative Maintenance Program and down time reduction process. This includes following the PMP schedule and filling the PMP checklists.

Participate in the development and implementation of the latest technologies to improve productivity and/or quality.

Participate in all maintenance related training to upgrade skills and knowledge to meet changing technologies, customer, government, and health and safety requirements.

Make recommendations to improve equipment efficiency and reduce costs. This includes manufacturing, repairs and installations of parts, components, services, and equipment.

Prepare a list of all problems encountered during the shift and other necessary reports.

Advise the Facility and Plant Project Manager and/or the Facility Supervisor of any potential problems and offer solutions.

Provide support to the Assembly Support Department, Welding Support Department, and Press/Toolroom as required.

Ensure and maintain clear and safe working conditions.
Education and Experience:

433A Industrial Millwright License.

Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems.

Excellent problem solving techniques and methods.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
