Can-Tech Services is looking for a Maintenance Technician for one of our reputable Manufacturing clients in Vaughan.
Our client is a leading manufacturer that develops customized high-performance HVAC systems for vehicles and machinery in construction, agriculture, forestry, mining, material handling and utility vehicle industries, making the driest or wettest surroundings and the most extreme hot or cold weather unnoticeable. Position: Maintenance Technician.
Position Type: Permanent/Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8-4.30pm).
Pay: $28 – $35 per hour.
Location: Vaughan, ON

Job description:
Reporting to Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician’s responsibilities will include:

Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine breakdown issues and/or to order necessary parts.

Troubleshoot repairs, install parts with a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical for efficient repair.

Conduct and perform planned preventive & predictive maintenance and keep maintenance records.

Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Minimize production downtime by responding to production calls promptly.

Participate in the spare parts control system and follow all department rules and regulations.

Dismantle and assemble equipment, tools and machines for repair.

Comply with all regulations relating to equipment for a manufacturing facility.

Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect, investigate and malfunctions

Electrical connection of new equipment to code
-
Trouble shoot PLC controllers, servo drives, , operator interface devices, motors.

Record keeping of all maintenance of all activities on a daily basis.

Respond to shop floor requests for problem solving assistance.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required knowledge:
-
Preventive Maintenance Program
-
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
-
Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in maintenance.

Handy To Make Jig And Fixture In House , Using Welding , Lathe Machine, Cutting Machine, Modify tools for continuous improvements in the production area.
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree or relevant diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with additional training in Electrical would be an asset.
