Can-Tech Services has been in business for over 40 years, and boasts a diverse and experienced team of recruiters. Our client, a manufacturer in the HVAC industry, is seeking an Engineering Test Lab Technicianfor permanent employment in Vaughan, ON.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Test Facility Manager, the Engineering Test Lab Technician’s responsibilities will include:

Assemble A/C testing (including setup and installation)

-Compressors, Evaporators, condensers, hopes and /or piping, safety devices

Component level testing (including creating the setup and/or fixtures)

-Pressure switches, temperature sensors, heat exchangers, valves, etc.

Cut, fit, and braze copper tubing for test setups.

Pressure test, vacuum, and charge A/C systems and sub-assemblies.

Assemble glycol based heating systems for testing.

Install thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters, and power measurement instrumentation.

Document and report test results, data and findings.

Work closely with Mechanical, Electrical, & Application Engineers.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in test lab environment.

Technical Degree/Diploma/Certificate (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred).

Registered Refrigeration & Air Condition Mechanic.

Registered 3^rd or 4^th year Refrigeration & Air Condition Mechanic apprentice.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Experience in technical report writing.

Knowledge of Air-Conditioning and refrigeration.

Knowledge of instrumentation and data acquisition.

Knowledge of Metal fabrication.

Valid ODP Card.

Class CZ or AZ license.
