Can-Tech Service has been in business for over 40 years, and boast a diverse and experienced team of recruiters. We are looking for IT Support in a luxury hotel in Toronto.

Summary:

As part of the Global Service Desk team, act as a 24×7 support agent, to all hotels and their IT staff for global systems and services, pre-opening office team, corporate office and remote users.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily Support:Act as first level support to Hotel IT for Global Infrastructure and other centralizedapplications and platforms including Microsoft products – Active Directory (Azure), Intune,Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Lotus Notes infrastructure (moving to Exchange), VPN, andthe digital platform.
  • System Monitor: Monitor and respond to alerts generated by monitoring systems e.g. SolarWinds and escalate issues as defined.
  • Security Systems: Assist Security Operations team to implement and support Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Web Security, Mail Security and Network Security solutions. Assist senior specialist to monitor and support Patch Management and Active Directory Management Systems.
  • Pre opening technology Support:Assist with pre-opening office technology setup and support e.g. user computer setup.
  • Notes/Domino:Domino hub server monitoring, includes database replication, email routing, anti-virus, anti-spam, FTP and DNS services. BlackBerry, iPhone and Android user administration via IBM Notes Traveller or VMwareWorkspace ONE.

Required:

  • Windows Servers, TCPIP Networking
  • Exchange and Outlook (implementation begins Q4 2019)
  • Windows Active Directory (Azure) and DNS
  • Firewall, VPN
  • Windows 10

Preferred: VMware, OneDrive, Citrix, Teams, Bomgar, Patch Management, Carbon Black, Trend Micro, ITSM tool such as ServiceNow, SharePoint, IronPort

Shift:24×7 shift rotation – days, afternoons, overnights and weekends

Qualification and Education:

  • Completed System Administration Training and Certifications.
  • College Diploma, University Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Min. 2 years’ experience in IT support role.

Competencies:

  • Good knowledge and understanding of networking systems, including firewall, VPN, security gateways;
  • Good knowledge and understanding of system administration, including Active Directory, Citrix, DNS, content filtering and experience in server administration and system reporting.

Salary: $26 – $27/hr (Contract)
